Install Win XP Pro Hope using USB




Rufus v1.3.2

Rufus is a small utility that helps format and create bootable USB flash drives, such as USB keys/pendrives, memory sticks, etc.

It can be especially useful for cases where:

  • you need to create USB installation media from bootable ISOs (Windows, Linux, EFI, etc.)
  • you need to work on a system that doesn't have an OS installed
  • you need to flash a BIOS or other firmware from DOS
  • you want to run a low-level utility

Despite its small size, Rufus provides everything you need! Oh, and Rufus is fast

How to make USB Drive bootable.

I know, The above-mentioned figure is stating the instruction, yet I would rather clear up using text.

1. Device

Here you need to opt that USB drive, where you're aspiring to keep the OS Hope Setup. ( Skip this step whether you have merely one external drive inserted { viz.. memory card, Pen drive }

CAUTION: Opted USB drive will be format, so if any data is exist into that USB, Please first backup.

2. File system

Please Opt 'NTFS'

3. Quick format

Please Untick Quick format.

4. Cd Drive (Icon)

Here you need to Explore "Windows XP Professional Hope SP3 32-bit.iso"  ( it will be found within "Windows XP Professional Hope SP3 32-bit.cab" hence you have gotta extract that first and then you can opt that one. )

5. New volume lable

Here you can rename to whatsoever you prefer, however it is not necessary.

6. Start

Click on "Start" ( it may take about 10-15 minutes, make patience and let the processes. )

7. At last, it will show you up "DONE" and that too with "Close" option. .

8. You have sucessfully Done!


How to Install using USB Drive.

1. Shut down your system.

2. Insert created USB Drive and Start system.

3. At the time of BIOS image, press "Del" or "F2" or that key by which you can enter into BIOS.

4. Go to your BIOS booting option and make Priority to "Generic STORAGE DEVICE" .

5. Save the Setting and Continue.

6. If the Windows XP is done loading then press the key "ENTER" on your Keyboard and then press the key "F8" on your Keyboard and then press the key "ESC" on your Keyboard.

(NOTE: This "ESC" key is required whether you've already an operating system in your Hard Disk.. If you're on new Hard Disk then this "ESC" is not required.) 

7. Now select the Hard disk drive where you want to install OS Hope (in most cases, Default is "C:") and then press the Key "D" on your Keyboard and then press the Key "ENTER" on your Keyboard and then press the Key "L" on your Keyboard. 

(NOTE: this process is required whether you've already an operating system, if you're on new hard disk then skip this process and create partition as per your requirement and then install onto your created partition )

8.  Now select the same Hard disk drive again (Default is "C:") and press the Key "ENTER" on your Keyboard and then you should select the option "Format the partition using the NTFS file system (Quick)" and then press the key "ENTER" on your Keyboard .


9.  You have sucessfully Done!

This Windows XP Pro Hope is not for Upgrading; you should have a clean installation on a formatted Hard disk drive OR a formatted Partition where you're aspiring to install.

NOTE: Whether the Windows XP Pro Hope installation hangs OR if facing a Blue Screen Error during the Windows XP Pro Hope installation then this is indeed owing to a SATA driver problem.

IN ORDER TO FIX THIS: you may do a workaround by going into your BIOS and set the option SATA/AHCI to OFF or Change the SATA Mode option to IDE. This should normally fix the Blue Screen Error but you will loss around 2 to 8 percent of your Hard disk speed if doing this.

The Minimum Computer Requirements is a  600 MHz Processor  with a 256 MB RAM  and  4 GB Hard disk drive  and a  Super VGA (800x600) Video Adapter

Booting and Running should be bit faster since some ineffective ingredient has been withdrawn and because all Windows XP Updates are slipstreamed.

 Using CD-Rom

» First backup your all data, files on a storage devices or storage disc

» You should already have a WGA KEY since i'm not going to provide any warez edition.

» Install Burn program 'ImgBurn 2.5.7.0.exe' from

[ Win Xp Pro Hope\OEM\RunOnce\Useful Programs\ImgBurn 2.5.7.0.exe ]

to Burn 'Windows Xp Pro Hope'

NOTE: PLEASE BURN AT LOWEST SPEED 4X TO AVOID MISSING FILE ERRORS ( it may take about 20 minutes but believe me it's the best option ever to burn 'Windows XP Pro Hope' )

» Insert the Windows XP Professional Hope Disc you burned into your Optical Disc Drive (CD Drive) and then restart your Computer. If your Computer starts you can see the screen of "Press any Key to boot from the CD."

NOTE: Perform this, whether you don't see (Press any key screen) so you need to go into your "BIOS Settings Menu" and then set the Boot Priority to Optical Disc drive (CD Drive). Save this setting and continue.

» If the Windows XP is done loading then press the key "ENTER" on your Keyboard and then press the key "F8" on your Keyboard and then press the key "ESC" on your Keyboard.
